Kyung Hee University athlete Moon Ji-yong competed at the Collegiate Bodybuilding Championship held at SPOEX 2025, successfully wrapping up his first collegiate stage. The event brought together promising collegiate bodybuilders from across the nation to test their skills, resulting in fierce competition.
Despite the pressure of competing in the collegiate division for the first time, Moon Ji-yong relied on composed stage management and steady conditioning to capture first place in the -65kg division, securing the gold medal. Although he offered a modest reflection, saying, "My physique still has a long way to go, but luck was on my side," observers noted that the level of refinement he showcased on stage could hardly be credited to mere luck.
This victory serves as a starting point that proves Moon Ji-yong's potential as a competitor. It was also a meaningful accomplishment in that he represented Kyung Hee University on stage and raised his school's profile. Having gained both stage experience and confidence through his debut contest, he has firmly stamped his mark as an athlete whose future growth is highly anticipated.
