In bodybuilding and the Sports Model division, the hardest battle is ultimately the one against oneself. For Park Su-man, the most difficult challenge this season was neither intense training nor on-stage competition, but self-control in managing his diet.
Beyond simply enduring cravings, it was about sticking firmly to his daily choices without wavering. Through that process, he had to discipline not only his body but also his mind. The prolonged period of self-restraint throughout the season gave Park a chance to reflect once again on the "fundamentals of being an athlete."
Those efforts showed clearly on stage. Park wrapped up the season with outstanding results, earning a Pro Card at the 2025 WNGP Finals and going on to win the Grand Prix at the 2025 NPCA Seoul. However, he did not attribute these achievements solely to his own efforts.
"I received results beyond what I deserve, but I am deeply grateful for every step of the process and all the people who made this possible." Viewing this success not as an end, but as a beginning, he expressed his determination to use this honor as a stepping stone to become an athlete even more dedicated to the basics.
Park's focus does not linger on the results alone. His goal is to inch closer each season to the true standard of the Sports Model division. This comes from his belief that if he continues to build refinement rather than fixate on rankings, he will naturally reach the very top one day.
"Rather than being obsessed with outcomes, I want to get closer to the standards of a more complete Sports Model with each passing season."
