Introduction
Hello. I am physical therapist Kim Jae-hyun, who is more passionate about working out than my main profession. Working out played a big role in my choosing the physical therapist profession. At the time, I really hated being skinny and had just started working out, while also deliberating on my career path after studying a different major. Then it suddenly occurred to me, "Right now, I lack both physique and knowledge, so I should build enough expertise later to become a trainer." After thinking this, I re-entered college as a physical therapy major at a relatively late age. After graduating and getting licensed, I went to a hospital first rather than a fitness center. I felt having clinical experience would give me more of an edge. Not knowing when I would move to a gym, I worked on weekdays and took various courses and studied on weekends, while also gradually stacking up competition experience whenever I had time. However, before I knew it, I had become a 5th-year clinician whose motivation had completely drained long ago. It has also been a long time since I stopped studying. Only now do I feel like I trapped myself in the hospital's decent pay and stable environment. I realized early on that working in a hospital didn't suit me, but I was afraid of leaving a familiar environment. Now, however, I am more afraid of myself standing still. So, to become a trainer, I've started picking up the studies I had put aside little by little, and I'm also preparing for competitions. My Instagram account will capture this journey.
