In mid-October, this season was by no means smooth for Kim Yong-jun.
Just one week before the AGP Natural Pro Qualifier, amid extreme stress, he suffered from vertigo (otolithiasis) and even found himself losing his balance and collapsing. At a moment when both his body and mind reached their limits, thoughts of giving up filled his head.
However, he did not stop.
Whenever times were tough, he remembered his family and the people around him who cheered him on, pulling himself together once more. Kim Yong-jun says, “It was because of their support that I was able to stand back up.”
Ultimately, he stepped on stage, won the AGP Natural Pro Qualifier Bodybuilding Open, and claimed the title of NEW IFBB PRO.
This outcome holds meaning far beyond a simple result. It is a valuable reward achieved after overcoming both physical deterioration and mental strain.
Yet Kim Yong-jun is not satisfied here.
To him, IFBB PRO is not the final destination, but merely one process on the way to a higher stage.
“Without settling for the title of IFBB PRO, I will continue moving forward toward the next step.”
His decisions and attitude, which remained unshaken even through hardship, make people look forward to his future steps even more.
Kim Yong-jun's challenge is not over yet. Rather, now is the new beginning.
