Introduction

Hello. I am 32 years old this year. I didn't start training professionally from high school like elite athletes do, but I have loved sports and exercise since I was young. Like many young boys, I started Taekwondo around the time I began walking, and in the first grade of elementary school, I experienced my very first competition at the Tongyeong Mayor's Cup tournament. During elementary and middle school, I was active in the soccer club, and in high school, I followed a friend to a Taekkyeon training center, fell in love with the sport of Taekkyeon, and began practicing it in earnest. Afterwards, I even won an individual championship in the high school division of the National Sports Festival, living my life always loving and enjoying sports. In my second year of high school at age 18, I started weight training. At the time, rather than professional bodybuilding, I started working out with the mindset of building stamina and sculpting a great physique. At the gym I attended back then, I met the head coach and mentor who taught me so much. I worked part-time helping with consultations at the gym reception desk and doing simple tasks like cleaning, learning how to work out and gaining experience along the way. Looking back now, I think that was an important starting point in my fitness journey. Meeting a great mentor allowed me to learn a great deal about mindset and exercise skills. In particular, I believe that being an athlete (competitor) and a trainer (instructor) are different, and I was able to learn and grow significantly in my capabilities as an instructor. I think that experience became the foundation for me to earn a living and build a career in fitness today. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my mentor once again. To be honest, I wanted to compete in my first competition much earlier. However, among the senior and junior athletes and acquaintances around me, no one specialized in the Sports Model division I currently compete in, and back then, information wasn't readily available through YouTube or various channels like it is now. So, with a vague mindset of "I'll compete once I'm fully prepared and confident in my physique," I kept putting it off. After being discharged from the military, I prepared diligently for two years and entered my first competition at age 24. I placed 2nd in my first competition, and since then, I have competed every single year for 8 consecutive years up until last year. Currently, I am 32 years old, and I am preparing hard for competitions again this year. In 2024 and 2025, I won 1st place in my weight class and even took the Grand Prix, achieving the Grand Prix title that had long been my goal and dream. But I won't stop here; I want to continue preparing steadily through this year and next year to accomplish my own goal and career milestone of competing for 10 consecutive years. So today, right at this moment after finishing my classes, I am heading out to work out again. I don't know if I can win 1st place and the Grand Prix again this year, but I plan to do my absolute best while enjoying the process. I would appreciate it if you could watch over and support me. 😊 A turtle with a dream never gets tired. Wishing you all great muscle gains today as well! 💪🏻 Thank you for reading this long post.
